Team

Werner Schwenk
has been an instrument maker since 1963. He trained with Kreul of Tuebingen and was employed there for 19 years before joining Puechner for 5 years. After passing his Master's exam in Munich in 1986 he finally graduated into self-employment. In 1996 he merged his business with Jochen Seggelke's, and moved to Bamberg in 1998. In his rare days off you might spot him somewhere far away on his bicycle.

Jochen Seggelke
studied clarinet playing with Hans Pfeifer in Mannheim, and has been performing in various German orchestras and ensembles since (e.g. Concerto Köln, Acamus). In 1995 he finished his training as a woodwind instrument maker and set up his own business, which he merged with Werner Schwenk's in 1996. He still can't stop playing, and his experience as a professional musician enables him to deal with customers' requests with empathy. He is listed in Germany's "Who is Who", and since 2005 an active "economic ambassador for the Bamberg region". From time to time he escapes business on a sailing boat.

Eduard Nagel
is a master woodwind instrument maker who worked with a famous clarinet making company before joining us. He loves folk music ("world music") and is a gifted musician and dancer. He also plays the saxophone in smaller and bigger ensembles (see www.es-as.de).

örni Reinwand
joined us as a trained organ maker, and supplies us with wholesome Qi. After work he sometimes sinks down low - in pitch, being a bass in the "Audida" choir.

Heidi Trambauer
is your contact person for all your needs and questions. She manages to run our office desk without ever losing her temper!

Udo Schadeberg
is a master woodwind instrument maker. He took up the clarinet as a child in music school and later turned his hobby into his profession. He joined SCHWENK & SEGGELKE in April 2006. His many years of experience working with Markneukirchen instrument makers are an important asset for our team.

Claudius Garbe
was born in Berlin. He first joined us as an intern in search for work experience, and stayed on as apprentice. He finished his training as a woodwind instrument maker in the summer of 2008 top of his class. We are happy to have him in our team as "Geselle"!

Daniel Freitag
is our woodworm. He has a degree in education and enjoys working with wooden logs instead of words from time to time. His professional turnery provides the base for our clarinets. And, being a drummer, he's got the rhythm!

Jann Emken
joined us in April 2009. He is a woodwind instrument maker from the wild mid-west. We benefit from his professional skills as well as from his calm and serene attitude. To top it off, he also plays the clarinet as an additional member of our workshop's clarinet choir.

Lisa Wolf
joined us in the summer of 2008 following a woodwind instrument making apprenticeship in Tübingen. Her plan was to kill some time in Bamberg before moving on to Cologne to study musicology and ethnology. However, the appeal of clarinet making proved to be so irresistible that before long she would quit student life and come back. She brings a fresh note to our team as an avid bagpipe player and teacher and supports the "Buchsboys", our workshop band, on the clarinet.
