A Voice of Quality
When looking for a new instrument, musicians inevitably find themselves confronted with the question what make and model will suit them best. Some people stick to the ordinary; others choose their instrument based on the most promising and flashy advertisement. But finding just the perfect clarinet amongst readily available instruments is an underestimated challenge - who to turn to, how to take a decision that provides you with lasting confidence for your choice?
Schwenk & Seggelke invites you to explore a new path, and let our master craftsmen and clarinet makers join you on your journey to find the instrument you didn't dare dreaming of.
The most delicate part in the search for the optimal instrument consists of carefully selecting the parts that turn a clarinet into the companion that can voice your personality. Obtaining your desired sound colour and performance experience requires a specific mouthpiece-ligature-reed combination - which in turn may affect the overall intonation of the instrument. With the help of our master craftsmen, drawbacks can easily be overcome by alteration of the speaker tube, or the bore of the barrel for example. Benefit from our experience in adapting bells, barrels, mouthpieces, and ligatures to individual musicians, and take advantage of that experience to find the best setup for you. Just as gloves are available in various sizes, we can optimize the key work and mechanical details so your clarinet truly fits your hands.
Since all parts of our instruments are made in Bamberg, and our staff enjoys playing the instruments just as much as making them, we can guarantee competent and authentic assistance. We are also open to your input; we are intently working with some of the world's leading clarinettists and welcome suggestions from our customers.
With inspiration and imagination, the only limit to our possibilities is clarinet physics - and even those we are working on to bend to your benefit.
Try Schwenk & Seggelke clarinets — and embrace the difference in quality.
